Maternity shoots - Generally speaking, week 28-32 are the best to shoot. But getting the photoshoot is more important than worrying about the exact positioning of your belly and I have captured pregnancies until the due date. It’s all individual and depending on how you're feeling.
Newborn shoots - The first 10 days of a baby's life are ideal for newborn shoots, but sometimes another doctors visit or some extra recovery days make for a slightly delayed (but still very delicious) photoshoot.
Engagement shoots - anywhere from the proposal, to the day after once the wonderful news has been shared or when closing on a wedding hall and sending out save the dates! Engagement shoots aren’t just a great way to celebrate the exciting milestone in your life, but a great way to feel more comfortable in front of the camera before the big day. Reach out when planning and we can make something that will work for you even with all the wedding planning madness!
Family Portraits - there is no perfect age or time to lock in these memories, so no need to wait. If you’re looking for a fun and unique gift for a grandparent, parent or partner’s birthday - a family photoshoot can be a great way to bond and express your love as well as create a keepsake.
What time of day?
At home lifestyle shoots - mid-day to get as much light in
Summer - Early in the morning around 6am, or golden hour around 5pm
Winter - Morning around 9am, or golden hour around 3pm
Remember that the sunshine doesn’t wait for us, so running late unfortunately will lead to a shorter session. Aim to arrive and be fully ready 15 minutes before the start of the session because we all know that time is just a trickster.
Feeling like now is the time to schedule a session? I know, I also have that gut feeling:)
